The lingonberry, cranberry or Mount Ida, is a small red berry acid. The cranberries are distinguished by their taste more acidic than that of blueberries. They are mainly consumed as juice, or accompany stews.
Vaccinium vitis-idaea, the cowberry or cranberry Mount Ida, is a small shrub with small creeping evergreen and glossy, a few tens of centimeters high. This plant is native to the woods, bogs and alpine areas that may be encountered mainly in the North American continent, Asian and European.
Flowering white or pink, campanulate, summer of lingonberry leaves room for small edible red berries.
The Bilberry is a fleshy edible fruit belonginggenerally to the Ericaceae family. It comes in the form of a small bay in red, blue or black. Geographically, there are the huckleberry in mountainous areas, particularly in North America. There are many varieties in the world, the best known are the bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) and cranberry (Vaccinium oxycoccos). Due to its acidic taste, the cranberry is especially used in cooking in fruit salads or in sauces to accompany certain dishes.
