
Pineapple is a fruit widely on the stalls of exotic fruits, for much of the year.
All flowers gives way to may to conical fruits, which grow individually until they join, forming mature pineapple as we know it. In total, it is a fruit lying up to more than thirty centimeters in length. The rind of the fruit, composed of hexagonal patterns is variable in color when ripe, depending on the variety. Flesh, very juicy, is also variable in color, usually white or yellow.

Pineapple is a tropical plant pure, which can be very cuttings
easily by rooting the crown of leaves when detached from the fruit. Indoors, it's a fun plant to grow and cuttings. We prefer the culture of smooth-leaved varieties are easier to handle than the varieties with toothed leaves, which can be very spicy.
Pineapple requires well-drained soil, rich and acidic. A pH of about 4.5 to 6.5 is important for good growth. The pineapple does not appreciate at all the standing water, where the imp ortance of drainage.
A refreshing taste, pineapple is primarily a good source of vitamins:
- Vitamin C is 18 mg/100 g on average. Containing all the more interesting it remains stable over time, since it is protected from oxidation by the thick bark of fruit and acidity of the medium. A serving of 150 g provides 27 mg, over a third of the daily recommended.
- Provitamin A can vary from 10 to 290 g/100 g in the fruit: the pulpit most of the pineapple is colorful, there are more.
- Vitamin E goes very well with Vitamin C to play an antioxidant role.
