The mango is the fruit of tropical

Mango is a tropical fruit. It grows on a tree, the mango tree. It measures on average 15 meters high and gives a hundred fruit per year. There are over 1000 species of mangoes. Mango is round or oval with a yellow skin color, green or red that we should not eat. Its flesh is dark yellow, creamy and sweet. It is attached to a flat core and very hard. Mango is also very good for health. This is one of the richest fruits in vitamin C. The mango is native to India where it still grows wild. The mango tree is revered by Hindus as Buddha had meditated under a mango tree. From the 16th century, the mango is spreading around the world starting with Africa and South America. Mango fruit is one of the richest in carotene. It is a vitamin that gives a little color to our skin. The carotene found in carrots too, is sometimes used in addition to tanning. This fruit contains provitamin A in the intestine which is converted to vitamin A. Moreover, mango contains a lot of vitamin C. A rate of about 44 mg per 100 grams of fruit, mango becomes comparable to some citrus like grapefruit or tangerine. Thus, 120 g of mango is sufficient to satisfy the recommended daily vitamin C. Nutritionists recommend that fruit.
